January 2019 Newsletter

I want to thank my fellow board members for electing me President this year!   I will be counting on the members of the Board, Rodney Hunter and all of our club members for suggestions and ideas on making 2019 a successful year for Clinton Country Club.  Also, Jack Ehrman was elected as Vice President, Patsy Beaty will continue as Treasurer and Carol Phillips as Secretary.   In addition to the officers, the other board members this year are Sally Rude, Sherry Crites, Jim Munsterman, Nancy Williams and Kevin Robbins.

The Board would like to say a big thank you to Beth Webber, Marty Watson and Tom Browning for their time served on the board.

We want to acknowledge all of the members who have donated money to the chemical fund for the course for 2019 and express our gratitude for their generosity.  All donations are greatly appreciated!

The Club is having a New Year’s Eve Party and would like to extend an invitation to all members, their family and friends!  The doors will open at 6pm for dinner.  Tina Williams and her staff will be serving surf ‘n turf from 6-8pm for just $25 (Steak & lobster, baked potato and salad), and the DJ will play from 9pm-1am.  The cost is $10 per person to join the party.  There will be a champagne toast at midnight and biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Please call as soon as possible for reservations at 660-885-2521.  The clubhouse will be closed on New Year’s Day.

Normally, the clubhouse has been closed in January, however, Tina Williams has decided to be open not only on Friday nights, but as long as weather permits the restaurant/bar will be open on the following days:  Wednesday, 11am-8pm for lunch/dinner, Thursday, 11-5pm for lunch, Friday, 11am-8pm for dinner. On Saturday 11am-5pm for lunch, and Sunday, 8am-5pm for breakfast/lunch.

It would be advisable to call ahead to verify open hours when weather is questionable.

You may not be aware that Clinton Country Club has a Ladies Social Luncheon on the fourth Thursday of every month at 11:30am.  There is a hostess assigned to each month to make it special.  All lady members are invited to attend.  If you are interested, please contact Irene Seiler at 660-885-5686 to get more details.

It is time for another RAFFLE!  Win $300 cash and a clubhouse, pool and tennis court membership valued at $570. Already a CCC member, get the $570 off your 2020 dues. All proceeds will help to renovate the swimming pool.  The drawing will be held after Memorial Day tournament. Tickets are $10 each.  Anyone that would like to purchase a ticket or help sell tickets, please contact Beth Webber.

The 2019 dues have been sent out.  If there is a problem with your membership classification, or you would like to make changes, please contact Carol Phillips or a board member to get it corrected.  Membership dues are due by January 31st. An option to spread the dues over nine monthly installments is available, beginning in January and ending on September 30th. A 10% percent interest charge will occur for this option. Payments not received by the 10th of the following month will be subject to a $10 late charge. Cart shed rental is due in full by the end of January.  Monthly club house minimums will begin on February 1st, 2019.  All membership information is on the webpage.

Also, if you have access to social media check out our Facebook page for upcoming events and club info.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the club this year!
