January 2021 Newsletter

As everyone knows 2020 was a trying year and the pandemic is not over yet, but starting this new year as President of the Board, I am hopeful that we can make this a successful year for Clinton Country Club.  I am looking forward to talking with our current members about new concepts or ideas that will attract potential new members to join us.

Also, at the last board meeting, Jack Ehrman was re-elected as Vice President and Carol Phillips will continue as Secretary/Treasurer for 2021.   In addition to the officers, the other board members this year are Sally Rude, Sherry Crites, Tami Mills, Jack Novacek, Jim Sanders and Bob Manuel.

Normally, the clubhouse has been closed in January, however, Tina Williams plans to open the restaurant/bar on Wednesdays.   It would be advisable to call ahead to verify open hours when weather is questionable.

We would like to say “Thank You” to Debbie Ehrman, Larry McBride, Sherry Crites, Steve King, Paul Barbee, Dean Hargrave, Tom Paul, Jeff Ehrman, Jack Ehrman, Craig Propst, Richard Webber, Steve Bible and Ted Weaver for their help this past month.

The Clinton Country Club Ladies Social Luncheon on the fourth Thursday of every month at 11:30am was cancelled last year because of COVID-19.  There is a hostess assigned to each month to make it special.  All lady members are invited to attend.  If you are interested in meeting again in the spring, please contact Irene Seiler at 660-885-5686 to get more details and let her know when would be a good time to start.

Watch for upcoming information to be posted on the bulletin board and Facebook!!   Sherry Crites plans to continue the tradition to have a “Schnapps Tourney” in January.  Regardless of the weather, snow or sunshine, a four person scramble Par 3 tournament will be planned for 1:00 p.m. at Clinton Country Club.  CCC Member entry fee is $15 and Non-Member is $20. The Course of play will be par 3s “backwards”.  Plan on having some fun during this long winter month. Sign up your team in the pro shop or contact Sherry and you will be placed on a team. Hope to see everyone there!

The 2021 dues invoices have been sent out.  If there is a problem with your membership classification, or you would like to make changes, please contact Carol Phillips.  Membership fees are due by January 31st.  An option to spread the dues over nine monthly installments is available for all certificate holders, beginning in January and ending on September 30th.  There is a 10% interest charge for this option. Cart shed fees are due in full by the end of January.  Monthly club house minimums will begin on February 1st, 2021.

Also, if you have access to social media check out our Facebook page and/or our webpage for upcoming events and club info.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the club this year!  Any suggestions or ideas for promoting the club and bringing in new members would be greatly appreciated.  Please contact me at 660-885-6679 and/or contact any board member.
