January 2022 Newsletter
Happy New Year to everyone! I made the decision to join the board this year, and as President, I hope that with the club members support that we can make 2022 a successful year for Clinton Country Club. Tami Mills has been elected as Vice President and Carol Phillips will continue as Secretary/Treasurer. In addition to the officers, the other board members this year are Sherry Crites, Ray Hartner, Bob Manuel, Jack Novacek, Jim Sanders and we want to welcome Louie Moreland. The Board would like to say thank you to Sally Rude and Jack Ehrman for their time served on the board for the last three years.
“Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories”. Especially to Rodney, with our deepest sympathy, we would like you to know that we share in your sadness with the loss of your spouse. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
As most of you know, December 31st was Tina Williams last day. The Board of Directors would like to thank Tina for her loyal and dedicated service to the club and our members for the last 3 years. We wish Tina all the best in her future endeavors. Normally, the clubhouse has been closed in January, however, it has been decided that the board members plan to open the bar on Wednesdays at noon and Fridays at 4pm for Texas Hold’em. Also, this week on Tuesday, January 4th and Saturday, January 8th the bar will be open. The kitchen will not be open during January. It would be advisable to call ahead to verify open hours when weather is questionable. The House committee’s attention is focused on getting a new vendor and a contract signed to fully open the clubhouse bar and restaurant in February.
Watch for upcoming information to be posted on the bulletin board and Facebook!! Sherry Crites plans to continue the tradition to have a “Schnapps Tourney” in January. Regardless of the weather, snow or sunshine, a four-person scramble Par 3 tournament will be planned for 1:00 p.m. at Clinton Country Club. CCC Member entry fee is $15 and Non-Member is $20. The Course of play will be par 3s “backwards”. Plan on having some fun during this long winter month. Sign up your team in the pro shop or contact Sherry and you will be placed on a team. Hope to see everyone there!
The 2022 dues invoices have been sent out. The Board made the decision to increase the dues in an effort to offset rising costs of course maintenance and club house expenses. If there is a problem with your membership classification, or you would like to make changes, please contact Carol Phillips. Membership fees are due by January 31st. An option to spread the dues over nine monthly installments is available for all certificate holders, beginning in January and ending on September 30th. There is a 10% interest charge for this option. Cart shed fees are due in full by the end of January. Monthly club house minimums will begin on February 1st, 2022. Membership information is posted on our website.
Also, if you have access to social media check out our Facebook page and/or our webpage for upcoming events and club information.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the club this year!
