November 2019 Newsletter

Winter is upon us!  The golf season for our associations and tournaments winds down, but there is still plenty going on at the Club.

The Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament started on Friday, October 25th.  There was a great turnout!  Lots of fun, family and friends!

The Board of Directors would like to say thank you to the following members: Dean Hargrave, Steve King, Tom Paul, Kevin Robbins, Dean Webber, and David Burrow. Your help at the club is appreciated and we could not achieve all that we do without the help of our members.

We would like to thank Beth and Richard Webber for organizing the Football Frenzy again this year.  Even though it rained on the tailgating party, the food was great and everyone had a good time!

Also, we give a big thank you to Susan and Damon Parsons for doing the Pumpkin Open.  Lots of great pumpkin entries and a fun day!

Missouri Golf Association states that after November 15th you can no longer post scores to GHIN in Missouri.  All GHIN accounts for those that live in Missouri will be inactivated after that date.  If you plan to travel this winter to a state where you can still post your scores (i.e. Texas, Arizona, Florida, etc), or have any questions, you will need to contact Carol Phillips by email or at 816-392-7965 to reactivate your GHIN number so you can post through December 15th.  GHIN will be closed for the remainder of the year as of that date as all information will be transferred to the new WHS Handicap System.  The Handicap Committee will review this new program and give you more information as it is provided.

Tina Williams and her staff asked that the following be included this month in the newsletter…

“As our first year has ended, we would like to say "Thank You" to the membership of Clinton Country Club!  It has been a wonderful first year.  We look forward to continuing to serving you during our second year.  We are grateful for your patronage and support.
