November 2020 Newsletter

The golf season for our associations and tournaments has ended for this season, but the clubhouse and cart sheds are open for you to still play golf, eat, drink and have fun!

The Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament has been cancelled at this time.  The Board will meet next week and discuss whether to reschedule.  Member safety is a priority.

The Board of Directors would like to say thank you to the following members: Kim & Mike Mills, LeAnne & Terry Salmon, Mike Mitchell, Dean Hargrave, Sherry Crites, Sally Rude, Steve King, Richard Webber and Paul Barbee.  Also, we would like to give a special thank you to Susan & Jim Sanders and the Member Lenders who with their generosity have enabled us to purchase a new greens mower for the golf course!   Your help at the club is appreciated and we could not achieve all that we do without the help of our members.

Also, we give a big thank you to Sherry Crites for organizing the Pumpkin Open.  Lots of great pumpkin entries and a fun day!  You can check out our Facebook page to see all the pictures.

Missouri Golf Association states that after November 15th you can no longer post scores in Missouri.   If you plan to travel this winter to a state where you can still post your scores (i.e. Texas, Arizona, Florida, etc) you can still post via the GMN app.

Winter hours for the clubhouse begin November 1st as follows:  Tuesday-Thursday: 10am to 8pm, Friday: 10am to 9/10pm, Saturday/Sunday: 9:30am to 6pm.

Please note the clubhouse will be closed on Thanksgiving Day so that everyone can spend time with their family.

As always, if you have suggestions or ideas for promoting the club and bringing in new members, please contact me at 660-351-2184 and/or contact any board member.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Kenny Goth, President
