If you would like to be nominated to serve on the 2022 Board of Directors, please contact a Board member to be considered at the next board meeting.  You must be a certificate holder to serve.

Also, as we go into the last quarter of the year, the Board will start considering next year’s operation budget. This of course takes into account revenue sources and expenses. Dues for next year will be reviewed and all expenses will be studied to see if we can cut any or some out of the budget. If you have any ideas, please let a Board member know so they may be taken into consideration by the directors during a board meeting. Tournaments are one of our good sources for revenue; if you know of any organizations or companies that would like to use our course, please let a board member know so that they can be placed on the spring schedule.

If you have suggestions or ideas for promoting the club and bringing in new members, please contact me at 660-885-1970 and/or contact any board member.

Well summer is waning and the nights are starting to cool down.  This is my favorite time of year to be outside and play, whether on the lake, golf course or the yard.  I hope you will come out and spend some time on the patio with either a cocktail, coffee or tea and enjoy the peacefulness of your club.

Tina has a new feature that she is rolling out and I think it should be a big success.  It is a group text feature that will allow her to let a group people know what she has going on at the restaurant.ie specials, short notice features like a Monopoly tournament or a Sunday afternoon coffee, cake and piano concert.  Now only you can set your phone up for this, so if you don’t want to be included that is your choice.

Please participate in your club and what I mean is, use the facility for your social activities, cards games even a movie night.  I have always found Tina and her staff to be most accommodating when I needed a snack tray or a light buffet for our family gatherings.  With the change of seasons let’s migrate inside and find new ways to enjoy our membership.  After all your membership dues are for a year (excluding the January shut down) not just the warm weather months.  And remember to show Christina, Angie, Brandy and Tina that you appreciate the service you receive with your tips. These ladies do try to take good care of you and with the employment market heating up I would hate to lose them over an extra dollar or two in your tip.

Anyway fall is here, but remember that golf is meant to be played in a sweater. FORE
